The 2018 Diploma Project Presentation of Zhengzhou University of Light Industry's Eastern Art College was convened in the First Workshop of Beijing 751D·PARK on May 17^th, 2018. The presentation this year is themed of "Four Generations", which is dedicated in searching for the blood vessel of four generations in one family and reviewing the one hundred years of vicissitudes of both the family and country. Only by being grateful can one keep on the rails. At the meantime of carrying forward techniques, it is of more necessity for us to inherit the immortal national spirit that endures for thousands of years. The students were guided to collect their own family's experience and exclusive history during the over one hundred years of unrest history, and search for corresponding details to blend into their works through conversing with generations of relatives of their family. Some students take the serial painting of Zeng Fanzhi's Mask as source of inspiration, and created the serial patterns including taking-on, integrating, splitting, blending and taking-off based on the form of spot, line and plane for depicting the fast-paced modern life. The quilting-seam technique was applied to combine conventional and unconventional fabrics and spurt sparks; some students extracted colors of the gorgeous flowers in the garden as the main colors of their apparels. The representative objects of several essential periods of grandma's life were taken as clothing elements. The craft of weaving was selected to interpret the main body and display technical study. The unconstrained creation of students and diversified craftsmanship illustrated the spirit of "Four Generations" and delivered their "emotion" through techniques.
