2018 Diploma Work Presentation of Dalian Polytechnic University & University of Southampton's Cooperative Project 

"Reflections" 

The Diploma Work Presentation of Dalian Polytechnic University & University of Southampton's Cooperative Project was ceremoniously convened during China Graduate Fashion Week in 79 Tank of 751D·PARK on May 17^th, 2018. This is the fifth China Graduate Fashion Week for innovative brands, the Fourth Teaching Results Presentation of Sino-foreign Cooperative Education Project, and the fourth time that our Chinese-British cooperative educational project has participated in the presentation.  

The final work release this year is themed of "Reflections". Over 90 suits of works were presented in the show. Designers learnt and acquired wisdom in both thought and practice through the mode of "reflection" during the four years of extraordinary journey in design study. The "reflection" mentioned here is an active process, which is aimed at enabling students to face up to the future and accommodate to the living environment in a better way. At the meantime, this concept also delivered the cooperative posture between Dalian Polytechnic University and University of Southampton in the domain of arts and design.  

The young designers reconstructed and arranged diversified fresh cultural elements during this release. They provided their works with unprecedented aesthetic value and practicability and constituted a wonderful cross-border world with integrated ideology through comprehension and collision of western and eastern way of thinking with the application of bold and fresh colors, materials integrating scientific and artistic features, and combined traditional handicrafts and future technology.  

Every single section of this release including product design and manufacturing, release planning, image modeling, and the creative programming and manufacturing of sample advertisement, etc., was jointly accomplished by teachers and students from both Dalian Polytechnic University and University of Southampton. It intensively presented the advantages in the integrated Sino-English education of art and design under the internationalized educational background.
