2018 Final Project Release of LuXun Academy of Fine Arts' Department of Dyeing, Printing and Costume Design 

"Magical Transformation"  

During the SHOW TOWN · China Graduate Fashion Week 2018, the 2018 Final Project Release of LuXun Academy of Fine Arts' Department of Dyeing, Printing and Costume Design was convened in the Workshop of Beijing 751D·PARK on May 16^th, 2018. The subject of the release this year is "Magical Transformation". The process of magical transformation is not only the imagery transformation between the visible world and spiritual world, but also the reconstruction of reality and dream toward natural arts. The outer world slips into the spiritual world of ours, which blends in the new nature and space transformed between natural and interior reality, and between soul and nature, so as to freely present the reality of heart. Magical transformation is the confrontation and split between the virtual and the real as well as the integration between soul and nature; it is not only the narration of emotion and the connotation of life, but also the unlimited upgrade of arts and fashion from limitation to multiple dimensions.  

The graduation show is centered on the grand subject of "Magical Transformation" and consists of eight directions including the Group of Ready-made Clothes Design, the Group of Fashion Design, Painting Group, Inset and Fashion Design Group, Creative Fabric Group, Conceptual Fashion Design Material Group, Creative Fashion Design Group, and Integral Fashion Design Group. Instructors emphasized that the design works should lay stress upon foresight, cultural property, artistry and fashionability, etc., of work design as well as combination of market investigation, trend of fashion and fabric design of 2019, and the original design of trendy apparel and fabric colors in 2019. The Department of Dyeing, Printing and Fashion Design conducted cross-disciplinary integration and permeation of three professional fields, namely costume and fashion design, dying and weaving, and fiber art design; brought up new thoughts, new techniques and brand-new exhibition modes of diploma design; and constructed the innovative educational modes of three professional disciplines. Trans-boundary and integral teaching is the inevitable tendency of future educational development centered on the cultivation of students' innovative capability, which efficiently promote the renovation of curriculum system and enhancement of talent cultivation through experiencing the infiniteness of creative ideology and diversity of creative achievements.
