"O.RIG.I.NATE·Starting Point"

The 2018 Diploma Project Presentation of Zhejiang Fashion Institute of Technology was convened in the Workshop of Beijing 751D·PARK on May 16^th, 2018. The theme of this year's presentation is O.RIG.I.NATE, which means "starting point". The purpose of naming the first session of diploma projects "starting point" lies in the anticipation and expectation toward the future of the students and the institute.

Inspirations of students that participated in China Graduate Fashion Week this year include: ideas of environmental protection triggered by frequently occurred haze in big cities; the exploration in the miraculous relation between hung clothes and human beings triggered by a group of photography works; the illustration of the image of traditional women by taking grandma as Muse through depicting the entire life of grandma that is filled with romantic theme and hardships; with the Second World War as source of inspiration, ponder that the environmental damages caused by war is a miniature of the crisis-ridden current social situation; focus on Hip-Hop Culture; the Garden Queen in the summer courtyard; thoughts of self-break-through obtained through individual analysis; the new image of a geisha girl with dental crown; the yearning for a slow life; a record on journey to Taiwan; mold the image of women from 1970 to 1980 and fulfill a princess dream for mothers; take the physical features and positive life attitude of the aged, advocate the life concept of "old elf"; Qing-dynasty Princess Deling's life of overseas study; investigate the dual character with Voodoo culture. The students' design inspirations cover a broad range from discussion in social issues to memory to personal life.
