School of Arts Soochow University Graduate Show2017 was held in theWorkshop of 751D·PARK in Beijing on May 19, 2017. School of Arts Soochow University, formerly known as the Suzhou Institute of Silk Technology, was founded in 1960. It firstopened the undergraduate education in China’s fashion design and fashion performance in 1983 and 1989. The School of Arts Soochow Universityhasseven teaching units and nine professional fields, includingDepartment of Fine Arts, Department of Dyeing and Knitting Arts,Department of Garment Arts, Department of Visual Communication, Department of Environmental Arts, Department of Arts, Section of DesignBasics.

The School is authorized one Post-doctoral programand PhD in design. It owns 3 master disciplines, such as Design, Fine Arts and Art Theory, and an authorized center formaster of Arts (MFA) and professional master of Engineering. Art and Design major is the national art education talents training mode, innovative practice area approved by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance, and the key professional construction point of Jiangsu province's "brand specialty" and "Jiangsu 12th Five-Year key major".

The theme of the showis Unbounded Edge, implying to measure the infinity of thought by the visible edges of the needle and thread. Starting from the unique living environment of the new generation, the collection highlights individual interesting and unique perspectives; it also tell us to seek self-realization and explore new materials and creative design techniques. The collection gathers young designers’ unique fluctuations, and thenmakes intersection, resonance, and integration. The end point is the starting point, and there's no new making without breaking.
